Foundational Energy: Chi
Chi is the energy created by the awareness that triggers physical movements and is stored in the belly. Air quality, food, and stress levels influence its strength. Chi exercises involve deep belly breathing and expanding awareness of physical sensations to locate a consistent sensation. The exercise aims to push the energy to a specific location, becoming more aware of the associated sensations, memories, emotions, and thoughts. Regular practice increases the strength of the energy, which can be gathered from natural sources. Tai Chi and Qi Gong are recommended for learning additional chi exercises.
