The 9-Minute Rule
In this article, we will be discussing why Moonlit Paths are limited to '9 Minutes'. The average attention span of an adult is 8-13 minutes, and the natural rhythm of the brain's function follows this pattern, like sleep cycles, with intense mental activity and dreaming lasting for 10 minutes. During the exploration of unmanifest constellations, the mind may wander, and stories may end abruptly, which is a natural process of structure collapse at the end of that '9-minute' cycle.
There is a common rule in most teaching and public speaking fields that topics should be kept to 10 minutes before introducing some kind of break, following that the average attention span of an adult is roughly 8-13 minutes.
I'm sure you've had at least a few experiences of listening to a lecture and vividly daydreaming one moment, then struggling to stay awake the next. Sometimes these lectures align, and we fully integrate what is being taught; sometimes, it's a snooze fest.
Even during sleep cycles, the intense mental activity and dreaming stage run for 10 minutes before the cycle shifts to deep or light sleep. There is a rhythm to our brain's function that we will become deeply attuned to as we discover how to sail on these tides of awareness.
Following this natural cycle, the moonlit paths that we will be using during our exploration of unmanifest constellations will adhere to this natural cycle in an integrated and harmonious fashion. When the mind wanders, we patiently observe what comes up without struggling against – or surrendering to – the story being told.
As is commonly the case, the stories can abruptly end mid-story when we observe these moonlit paths. As frustrating as this can be, I want you to understand that this is a natural process of structure collapse, and your Consciousness has moved into a deeper state of conversation than what your conscious mind was attempting to follow. Sometimes this means you were following a thread of energy tied to an unmanifest aspect of Consciousness, which is exactly what we are looking for.
When we lose the ability to tell the story of how we observe our energy changing from one state to another, like in the above example, it's typically a simple matter of not having symbols (or the words we associate with them) to bring the structure into clear conscious awareness. Each unmanifest structure will have a specific tone – layers of chi or prana that do not trigger a memory or story but can be felt within your awareness. Paying attention to these tones in your day-to-day life is how you manifest these structures from the Unmanifest Void and attach your required Symbols. With these symbols and words, you can begin to tell a story from a level of Consciousness beyond your current state. This is the primary purpose of the Containment process.
The trick is in doing it all within '9-minutes'.
